01 / About

A pragmatic generalist who likes shipping.

I started in 2004 building PHP/MySQL websites for clients in the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Romania and the US — from simple corporate sites to multilingual e‑commerce platforms with PayPal, iDEAL and Transfirst payment integrations.

Since 2018 I've been the Network & System Administrator at 3 Screen Solutions GmbH in Germany, taking care of the infrastructure that keeps the engineering teams productive. Alongside that I still write code — lately exploring AI workflows, building cross‑platform mobile apps with React Native, and maintaining a small constellation of websites and tools for the communities I'm part of.

I'm a self‑motivated quick learner who's comfortable jumping between the network stack, a Java SOAP server, a React Native build and a friend's WordPress site — and who genuinely enjoys all of it.

Away from the keyboard, my favourite thing in the world is driving — give me a good road and a capable car and I'm happy. The rest of my free time goes to gadgets, more IT, mobile phones (especially Android — I love tinkering with them), and the company of our dogs and cats 🐶🐱.
